Upgrading Visual & Operable Features: Dark Mode & VoiceOver
Users have long asked for dark mode and platforms have listened. As such, we use the same color series from Material 3 in our iOS app for simplicity. We also tested that VoiceOver users could access our program through user testing and structure tags.
Themeing needed an overhaul
(These currently do not pass WCAG AA for text size/color contrast)
Our goal is to improve the listening and learning experience for our worldwide users.
Khajoori serves a worldwide religious community by providing digital books, audio recordings, sermons, and prayer timings at their fingertips.
Some of the improvements I've been involved with are as follows:
Providing new reading and listening recommendations to a user based on their content
Adding favorite feature and a place to access favorites list
Using notifications effectively to let users access updates they are interested in
Designing CarPlay functionality according to Human Interface Guidelines
